You may want to add more space between the lines of text in a paragraph. You can choose from the following line spacing: S Single. This is considered normal spacing. There is no extra line space between each row of text. S One and a Half. There is a half line space between each row of text. S Double. There is a whole line space between each row of text. S Triple. There are two whole lines in between each row of text. S Custom. You can set line spacing up to 12. "To specify line spacing: 1. Select the text or move the insertion point into the paragraph you want to change. 2. Choose Line Spacing from the Paragraph menu. A submenu appears. 3. Select one of the following options from the submenu: Single, One and a Half, Double, Triple, or Custom line spacing. Using Tone in Text You can set the text tone before you begin type in if you wish, or select it and change it later. Text tone should stand out against its background for ease of reading. If the tones are too close, then the text disappears" into the background. By default, text tone is black and background tone is white. For monochrome Ensemble, you can select shades of gray (some shades will appear on the screen to have patterns in them, but may print without pattern). You can also increase or decrease the percentage of shading to fade or sharpen the intensity. You can also choose different patterns to create a different texture in the background. Keep in mind that the tone you achieve is not going to appear on the screen exactly as it will print. "To change the text tone: 1. Select the text you want to change. 2. Choose Text Tone from the Character menu. A dialog box appears: 3. Fill in the dialog box, selecting the attributes you want: S % Shaded. Select the percent shading for the text tone. The lower the number, the more faded the tone. A setting of zero (0) causes the text to disappear. By default, this setting is 100. S Tone Tools. Select the text tone. 4. Click on Apply to apply your changes to the selected text. (Continue to make changes as desired until you are satisfied with how the text looks.) 5.
