Text tone is only available on color Ensemble models. "To change the text size from the tool bar: 1. Select the text you want to change. 2. Click on Text Size on the tool bar. The menu of text sizes (showned at left) appears. 3. Select the text size you want. The highlighted text appears in the size you selected. "To change the style of text using the tool bar: 1. Select the text that you want to change. 2. Choose the style you want from the Tool menu on the Style bar. The selected text appears in the style you selected. "To change the text tone using the tool bar: 1. Select the text that you want to change. 2. Choose the text tone from the Character menu. 3. Click on a tone choice and click on Apply. Setting up the Page Setting margins and indentation You can set both margins and indentations two ways: using the small triangles below the ruler, or selecting Margins from the Line menu. "To set margins and indents: 1. With the mouse, move the two small black triangles on the left side of the ruler to the point where you would like the left margin to be. 2. With the mouse, move the triangle on the right side of the ruler to the point where you would like the right margin to be. OR 1. Under the Line menu, choose Margins. A dialog box appears. 2. In the box to the right of Left Indent of First Line, enter the number on the ruler where you would like the first line indent to be and click on Apply. The top triangle at the left margin moves to the place you set. 3. Click on Close to close the dialog box. Setting tabs Automatic tabs are placed every 1/2 inch, and you can add your own by clicking on the ruler. You can use a tab to set an indentation for the first line of a paragraph. You can set left-aligned tabs, right-aligned tabs, decimal tabs, custom positions, and tab leaders (dotted lines often used between tabbed items). Typewriter 302
