Starting the Tutorial and the Demonstration You can complete the tutorial in less than one hour, or you can save your progress at any point and come back to it later. If you are new to the window and mouse" type of operating system, the tutorial will be especially helpful. It consists of these topics: S System overview S Using the mouse (pointer movement, clicking, dragging & dropping) S Using windows (icons, menus) S Using dialog boxes S Working with documents S Using the File Manager application (for formatting/copying diskettes, naming and moving files) "To start the Tutorial: 1. Turn on the keyboard/printer and monitor. 2. Insert Diskette 1 (the diskette containing the tutorial) into the disk drive on the right side of your machine. 3. When the Main Menu screen appears, press CODE + T. 4. Follow the directions on the screen. S To continue to the next screen, press ENTER. S To go to the previous screen, press MENU + G. S To save your place and stop, press MENU + S. S To begin at the point where you saved your place, press MENU + R. S To exit the tutorial and go to the Main Menu without saving, press EXIT. The demonstration program (demo") provides a quick overview of your system. "To see the Demonstration: 1. Insert Diskette 1 (the diskette containing the demonstration) into the disk drive. 2.
