Setting up the Merge Fields The Word Processing merge document contains the text, graphics, formatting, and page layout of the information you want to print. It also contains merge fields that correspond to the source data in the clipboard. The field names used in the merge fields must match exactly the field names used in the source data document. These fields are case-sensitive; that is, they must match uppercase and lowercase exactly. For example, a merge field with the name HomeAddress" will not match Home Address", Home_Address", or homeAddress." If appropriate, consider using these field names in Spreadsheet. That way, you can copy merge data easily between both applications. Addressbook requires that you use the following field names exactly as they appear in the merge field (including underscores): IÑÑÑÑAÑÑÑNÑÑÑÑHÑÑÑÑOÑÑÑÑCÑÑÑÑFÑÑÑPÑÑÑÑPÑÑÑÑPn ahhhadoo fdxfr ooodtmie ecnnnr x__eeF eee_FF iF eii567ee ile llddd ld N a m e NANHOCFAAA aaddddao o fxfr mddddtmi ecpriiip etttseee hiiihooos booppos nnnof nhhniaaa xpneooe lll.e fnnpppnon ree hhhusru omooomnnm n nnnuuab b,eeetmm eiec onnnrrobb n uuumee mmmrr pD bbb ae eeens rrry c r oi p r to io t hn e r s o r te d i n f o r m a t io n "To add merge fields in a Word Processing document: 1. Position the cursor where you want the merge field to appear. (It can appear on a line by itself or embedded in other text.) 2. Press CODE + MENU + \. A doubleĆleft bracket appears (). (This identifies the end of the merge field.) 5. If you want, specify the character formatting (such as style, size, tone, and so on) for the field. Word Processing 123
