Maximum printing width is 9". However 12" paper can be inserted in the platen. Ensemble will not print 0.5" from the top and bottom of the paper, and 0.25" from the sides of the paper. Portrait Orientation Landscape Orientation It is recommended that portrait orientation be used whenever possible. 3. Fill in the dialog box, changing the options you want, as follows: S Type of Paper. Change the paper type if it is incorrect. Your choices are paper, envelope, and label. See the Specifications table in the Appendix for the recommended types of paper, envelopes, transparencies, and labels. S Size of Paper. If the selected paper size is not the size of the paper in your printer, select the correct size from the paper size list. For labels, choose the size of the individual labels. S Ink Saver. Turn this on for drafts if you want to cut ink use by 50%. In some instances, Ink Saver will give you higher quality printed images, especially with heavily inked documents. Experiment with settings until you find the one that suits the document you are printing. S Orientation. Select either portrait or landscape paper orientation, depending on the direction of the paper in the paper tray. Portrait orientation is a page printed so that, as you read it, the width of the page is less than its height. A horizontal orientation is called landscape. When you change orientation, width and height automatically change. S Width & Height. If you want to use a custom paper size that is not included in the paper size list, use the Width and Height value selectors to enter the width and height of the paper you want to use. S Paper Feed. Choose the type of paper insertion: manual or automatic. See page 9 for more information. 4. Click on OK if you want the changes you have made to remain in effect for the current session. OR Click Save Options and then click OK if you want the changes to remain in effect every time you print on this printer from now on. You can, of course, return to the Options dialog box whenever you want and change any of these options again. 5. Click on Print if you are ready to print the document with the new settings.
