"To delete a name: 1. Choose Define Name from the Formulas menu. This dialog box appears. 2. Select the name you want to delete. 3. Click on Delete. A confirmation message appears asking you to whether you want to delete the name. 4. Click on Yes to delete the selected name. Spreadsheet deletes the name and,for formulas using the deleted name, replacesthename with the cell or range address it referenced. Controlling Automatic Recalculation Spreadsheet normally recalculates every formula in your spreadsheet every time you make a change. If your spreadsheet is large or contains many complex formulas, this recalculation can be time-consuming. In that case, you may want to turn automatic calculation off. When automatic recalculation is off, you recalculate the spreadsheet manually whenever you want to. "To turn automatic recalculation on or off: 1. Choose Calculation from the Options menu. The dialog box at the left appears. 2. Select Automatic or Manual to specify the type of calculation you want. 3. Click on Apply to apply your changes. 4. Click on Close. The dialog box disappears. "To recalculate manually: Click on Calculate on the Basic Functions tool bar. OR Choose Calculate Now from the Options menu. Spreadsheet 172
