You can use the Size menu to change the size of selected text, or text in selected objects. The point sizes available from the menu are: 9, 10, 12, 14, 18, 24, 36, 54, and 72. You can create text in many other sizes using the CODE-drag technique described earlier in this chapter or by using Custom Size from the Text menu, Size submenu. "To change the font, style, or size of text in a drawing: If you change text so that it is very large or very small, Drawing adjusts the height of the text object, but not the width. Although Drawing and Word Processing have similar text attributes, you access them in different ways. 1. To change text within a text object, use the Text tool to select the text you want to change. OR To change all the text in a text object, use the pointer to select the text object you want to change. 2. From the Text menu, choose the font, style, or size you want to apply to the selected text or text object. The selected text is changed accordingly. "To use the Text Shading tool: 1. To change text within a text object, use the Text tool to select the text you want to change. OR To change all the text in a text object, use the pointer to select one or more text objects you want to change. 2. Click on the Text Shading tool. A horizontal pop-up menu appears. The option furthest to the left is 100% shading, while the option furthest to the right is 0%. 3. Select the shading you want. Drawingapplies the shading to the selected text or text objects. Aligning Text Text alignment refers to how the text lines up with the left and right edges of a text object. You can align text at the left, center, or right of a text object. You can also set text in justified (flush left and right as in a newspaper column). When you create a text object, Ensemble sets the alignment to left, but you can change it to suit your needs. "To change text alignment: 1. Select the text object whose alignment you want to change. 2. From the Text menu, choose the alignment you want. The text in the selectedobject changes alignment. Adding Tone to Text You can add tone to some or all of the text in a text object by choosing Text Tone from the Text menu. The text tone palette consists of the same 16 tones that appear on the tool bar. Drawing 236
