You can print grid lines whether they are visible on screen or not. To do so, however, you must use Page Setup on the File menu to specify printing grid lines. For more information, see "Setting Page Setup Options" on page 191. "To show or hide grid lines: 1. Select Other Settings from the Options menu. 2. Select Draw Grid Lines to show the grid lines. OR 1. Select Other Settings from the Options menu. 2. Deselect Draw Grid Lines to hide the grid lines. Showing Cell Borders To create an interesting visual display of your numeric information you can display borders for cells in various configurations, such as in this example: "To display cell borders: 1. Select the cells for which you want borders. 2. Choose Cell Borders from the Properties menu. The dialog box at the left appears. 3. Select the borders you want. The Outline option displays a border around the selection and deselects Left, Top, Right, and Bottom. 4. Click on Apply to apply your changes. The dialog box remains on the screen until you close it, so that you can make changes if you want. 5. Click on Close to close the dialog box. Spreadsheet 164
