M4300 Intelligent Edge Series Fully Managed Stackable Switches show switchport protected This command displays the status of all the interfaces, including protected and unprotected interfaces. Format Mode show switchport protected groupid Privileged EXEC User EXEC Term Group ID Name List of Physical Ports Definition The number that identifies the protected port group. An optional name of the protected port group. The name can be up to 32 alphanumeric characters long, including blanks. The default is blank. List of ports, which are configured as protected for the group identified with groupid. If no port is configured as protected for this group, this field is blank. show interfaces switchport (for a group ID) This command displays the status of the interface (protected or unprotected) under the groupid. Format Mode show interfaces switchport unit/slot/port groupid Privileged EXEC User EXEC Term Name Protected Definition A string associated with this group as a convenience. It can be up to 32 alphanumeric characters long, including blanks. The default is blank. This field is optional. Indicates whether the interface is protected or not. It shows TRUE or FALSE. If the group is a multiple groups then it shows TRUE in Group groupid. Private Group Commands This section describes commands that are used to configure a private group and view the configuration information of a private group. You can use a private group to create a group of ports that either can or cannot share traffic with each other in the same VLAN group.
