Any IPv6 global address or gateway assignments to these interfaces causes IPv6 routes to be installed such that the ping or traceroute request is routed out the service or network port properly. When referencing an IPv6 link-local address, you must specify the interface keyword with either the unit/slot/port argument, vlan keyword and vland-id argument, or serviceport keyword. Use the optional size keyword and datagram-size parameter to specify the size of the ping packet. Default Format Mode The default count is 1. The default interval is 3 seconds.
