It also enables OSPF on the specified router interface or range of interfaces. The area-id is a 32-bit integer, formatted as a 4-digit dotted-decimal number or a decimal value in the range of 0-4294967295. The area-id uniquely identifies the area to which the interface connects. Assigning an area ID for an area that does not yet exist, causes the area to be created with default values.
