Switch# configure terminal Switch(config)# ip dhcp relay information option Switch(config)# ip dhcp relay information option format remote-id string switch1 Switch(config)# 18-9 ip dhcp relay information option format-type remote-id This command is used to configure the DHCP information remote ID sub-option of vendor format string in the Interface Configuration mode. Use the no form of this command to remove the remote ID sub-option of vendor format string. ip dhcp relay information option format-type remote-id expert-udf NAME no ip dhcp relay information option format-type remote-id Parameters expert-udf NAME Specifies the remote ID of the specific ports to bind with the specific Option 82 profile with a maximum of 32 characters. Specifies the profile name. Default None. Command Mode Interface Configuration Mode. Command Default Level Level: 12. Usage Guideline This command is only available for physical port and port channel interface configuration. Use this command to configure the per interface's vendor defined string for Option 82 information remote ID sub-option. Example This example shows how to define expert-udf remote-id format string as "switch1" for ethernet 1/0/1.
