DGS-3130 Layer 3 Stackable Managed Switch CLI Reference Guide 90. Virtual LAN (VLAN) Tunnel Commands 90-1 switchport mode dot1q-tunnel This command is used to specify the system's inner TPID. Use the no form of this command to revert to the default setting. switchport mode dot1q-tunnel Parameters None. Default By default, the switch port is operated as a hybrid port. Command Mode Interface configuration mode. Command Default Level Level: 12. Usage Guideline This command is available for physical port and port-channel interface configuration. An 802.1q tunnel port behaves as an UNI port of a service VLAN. The trunk ports which are tagged member of the service VLAN behave as the NNI port of the service VLAN An 802.1q tunnel port can be operated at port-based tunnel, VLAN-based tunnel or flow-based tunnel. In port based tunnel, all received packets can be all tunneled through a common service VLAN. In VLAN-based tunnel, packets can be tunneled over different service VLANs, and the service VLAN is determined based on the VLAN mapping table. In flow-based tunnel, packets can be tunneled over different service VLANs, and the service VLAN is determined based on the flow-based VLAN mapping rule. The precedence to classify incoming packets is Flow-based VLAN tunnel > VLAN-based tunnel > port-based tunnel For port-based tunnel, the service VLAN is specified by switchport access vlan command, i.e. the port will be configured as untagged member of the service VLAN. For VLAN-based tunnel or flow-based tunnel, the port should be configured be as untagged members of all service VLANs defined in the mapping table or the mapping profile. The untagged membership of the service VLAN can be specified by switchport hybrid allowed vlan command. Example This example shows how to configure the port to dot1q-tunnel mode. Switch# configure terminal Switch(config)# interface eth1/0/2 Switch(config)# switchport mode dot1q-tunnel Switch(config)# 888
