DGS-3130 Layer 3 Stackable Managed Switch CLI Reference Guide Command Default Level Level: 15. Usage Guideline This command creates user accounts with different access levels. When the user login with Level 1, the user will be in the User EXEC Mode. The user needs to further use the enable command to enter the Privileged EXEC Mode. When the user login with a Level higher than or equal to 2, the user will directly enter the Privileged EXEC Mode. Therefore, the Privileged EXEC Mode can be in Levels 2 to 15. The user can specify the password in the encrypted form or in the plain-text form. If it is in the plain-text form, but the service password encryption is enabled, then the password will be converted to the encrypted form. If the no username command is used without the user name specified, all users are removed. By default, the user account is empty. When the user account is empty, the user will be directly in the User EXEC Mode at Level 1. The user can further enter the Privileged EXEC Mode using the enable command. Example This example shows how to create an administrative username, called admin, and a password, called "mypassword". The password length is between 1 and 32 characters and can contain embedded spaces. It is casesensitive. If the password syntax cannot be specified, the syntax remains plain text. (Optional) Specifies the encrypted password based on SHA-1. The password length is fixed at 35 bytes. It is case-sensitive. The password is encrypted. If the password syntax is not specified, the syntax is plain text. (Optional) Specifies the password in the encrypted form based on MD5. The password length is fixed at 31 bytes.
