Usage Guideline Use this command to enable the sending of SNMP MAC notification traps. Example This example shows how to enable the sending of SNMP MAC notification traps. Switch# configure terminal Switch(config)# snmp-server enable traps mac-notification change Switch(config)# 35-14 snmp trap mac-notification change This command is used to enable the MAC address change notification on a specific interface. Use the no form of this command to revert to the default setting. snmp trap mac-notification change {added | removed} no snmp trap mac-notification change{added | removed} Parameters added removed Specifies to enable the MAC change notification when a MAC address is added on the interface. Specifies to enable the MAC change notification when a MAC address is removed from the interface. Default The traps for both address addition and address removal are disabled. Command Mode Interface Configuration Mode. Command Default Level Level: 12. Usage Guideline Even when enabling the notification trap for a specific interface by using the snmp trap mac-notification change command, the notification is sent to the notification history table only when the mac-address-table notification change command was enabled.
