DGS-3130 Layer 3 Stackable Managed Switch CLI Reference Guide instance INSTANCE-ID vlans VLAN-ID [, | -] no instance INSTANCE-ID [vlans VLAN-ID [, | -]] Parameters INSTANCE-ID VLAN-ID , - Specifies the MSTP instance identifier that is mapped with the specified VLANs. The value is from 1 to 64. Specifies the VLAN ID to be configured. (Optional) Specifies a series of VLANs, or separate a range of VLANs from a previous range. No space is allowed before and after the comma. (Optional) Specifies a range of VLANs. No space is allowed before and after the hyphen. Default By default, all VLANs are mapped with the CIST (instance 0). Command Mode MST Configuration Mode. Command Default Level Level: 12. Usage Guideline Use this command to map VLANs to an MST instance. When mapping VLANs to a MST instance, the instance will be created automatically if the instance does not exist. Example This example shows how to map VLANs to an MST instance. Switch#configure terminal Switch(config)#spanning-tree mst configuration Switch(config-mst)#instance 2 vlans 1-100 Switch(config-mst)# 78-8 name This command is used to configure the name of an MST region. Use the no form of this command to revert to the default setting. name NAME no name Parameters NAME Specifies the name for the MST region. The maximum length is 32 characters. Default By default, the name is the bridge MAC address. 798
