Command Default Level Level: 12. Usage Guideline This command is available for physical port configuration. This command is used to enable LLDP transmission on a physical interface. When LLDP is not running, the Switch does not transmit LLDP messages. Example This example shows how to enable LLDP transmission. Switch# configure terminal Switch(config)# interface ethernet 1/0/1 Switch(config-if)# lldp transmit Switch(config-if)# 48-15 lldp tx-delay This command is used to configure the transmission delay timer. This delay timer defines the minimum interval between the sending of LLDP messages due to constantly changing MIB content. Use the no form of this command to revert to the default setting. lldp tx-delay SECONDS no lldp tx-delay Parameters SECONDS Specifies the delay value for sending successive LLDPDUs on an interface. The valid values are from 1 to 8192 seconds and should not be greater than onefourth of the transmission interval timer. Default By default, this value is 2 seconds.
