Follow the banner login command with one or more blank spaces and a delimiting character of your choice. Then enter one or more lines of text, terminating the message with the second occurrence of the delimiting character. For example with a pound sign (#) being the delimiting character, after inputting the delimiting character, press the enter key, then the login banner contents can be typed. The delimiting character need to be input then press enter to complete the type. To configure the login banner contents to default, use no banner login command in global configuration mode. NOTE: The typed additional characters after the end delimiting character are invalid. These characters will be discarded by the system.
