PPPoE Circuit-ID Tag Insertion 60-1 pppoe circuit-id-insert This command is used to enable PPPoE circuit ID insertion. pppoe circuit-id-insert no pppoe circuit-id- insert Parameters None. Default None. Command Mode Global configuration mode. Command Default Level Level: 12. Usage Guideline This command is used to enable PPPoE circuit ID insertion globally. You can use pppoe circuit-id-insert interface mode command to enable the PPPoE circuit insertion per interface. Only when both of global and per interface state are enabled, the operational state of PPPoE circuit ID insertion is enabled on an interface. If the operational state of PPPoE circuit ID insertion is enabled on an interface, when the received PPPoE PADI/PADR packets without circuit ID TAG, the switch will insert circuit ID TAG and forward the packets. If the received PPPoE PADO/PADS packets with circuit ID TAG, the packets will be forwarded after the tag will be stripped out. Example The example shows how to enable PPPoE circuit ID insertion globally. switch# configure terminal switch(config)# pppoe circuit-id-insert The example shows how to disable PPPoE circuit ID insertion globally. switch# configure terminal switch(config)# no pppoe circuit-id-insert 60-2 pppoe circuit-id-insert (interface) This command is used to enable PPPoE circuit ID insertion on interface configuration mode. pppoe circuit-id- insert no pppoe circuit-id- insert Parameters None. 620
