Syntax ip ospf retransmit-interval seconds To return to the default values, enter no ip ospf retransmit-interval. Parameters seconds Enter the number of seconds as the interval between retransmission. Range: 1 to 3600. Default: 5 seconds. This interval must be greater than the expected round-trip time for a packet to travel between two routers. Defaults 5 seconds Command Modes INTERFACE Command History Usage Information Version 8.3.19.0 Version 8.3.7.0 Version 7.6.1.0 Version 7.5.1.0 pre-Version 6.1.1.1 Introduced on S4820T Introduced on S4810 Introduced on S-Series Introduced on C-Series Introduced on E-Series Set the time interval to a number large enough to prevent unnecessary retransmissions. For example, the interval should be larger for interfaces connected to virtual links. ip ospf transmit-delay c e s Set the estimated time elapsed to send a link state update packet on the interface. Syntax ip ospf transmit-delay seconds To return to the default value, enter no ip ospf transmit-delay. Parameters seconds Enter the number of seconds as the transmission time. This value should be greater than the transmission and propagation delays for the interface. Range: 1 to 3600. Default: 1 second. Defaults 1 second 1100 | Open Shortest Path First (OSPFv2)
