Configure packet counters with logging instead. When you use the log option, CP processor logs details about the packets that match. Depending on how many packets match the log entry and at what rate, the CP may become busy as it has to log these packets' details. deny Configure a MAC ACL filter to drop packets. seq Configure a MAC ACL filter with a specified sequence number. seq c e s Syntax Parameters Assign a sequence number to a deny or permit filter in a MAC access list while creating the filter. seq sequence-number {deny | permit} {any | mac-source-address [mac-source-address-mask]} [count [byte]] [log] [monitor] sequence-number deny permit any mac-source-address mac-source-address-mask count byte log monitor Enter a number between 0 and 65535. Enter the keyword deny to configure a filter to drop packets meeting this condition. Enter the keyword permit to configure a filter to forward packets meeting this criteria. Enter the keyword any to filter all packets. Enter a MAC address in nn:nn:nn:nn:nn:nn format. (OPTIONAL) Specify which bits in the MAC address must match. If no mask is specified, a mask of 00:00:00:00:00:00 is applied (in other words, the filter allows only MAC addresses that match). (OPTIONAL) Enter the keyword count to count packets processed by the filter. (OPTIONAL) Enter the keyword byte to count bytes processed by the filter. (OPTIONAL, E-Series only) Enter the keyword log to log the packets. (OPTIONAL) Enter the keyword monitor when the rule is describing the traffic that you want to monitor and the ACL in which you are creating the rule will be applied to the monitored interface. Information

When you use the
