Syntax Parameters Defaults Command Modes Usage Information Related Commands Command History neighbor {ip-address | peer-group-name} shutdown To enable a disabled neighbor or peer group, use the neighbor {ip-address | peer-group-name} no shutdown command. ip-address peer-group-name Enter the IP address of the neighbor in dotted decimal format. Enter the name of the peer group to disable or enable all routers within the peer group. Enabled (that is, BGP neighbors and peer groups are disabled.) ROUTER BGP Peers that are enabled within a peer group are disabled when their peer group is disabled. The neighbor shutdown command terminates all BGP sessions on the BGP neighbor or BGP peer group. Use this command with caution as it terminates the specified BGP sessions.
