Importing Footage ❚❘❘ same name as the Illustrator file, and a footage operator from the rasterized file. Importing Adobe Illustrator Image Sequences When you import Adobe Illustrator image sequences, you have two choices: • Import the first frame of the sequence as a Paint operator, with one Paint object for each Illustrator object. • Import the entire sequence as a rasterized image sequence or movie file. Note: To work with Adobe Illustrator image sequences without losing Illustrator object information, import each image in the sequence separately using the Individual Layer or Grouped options. Then modify each layer's timeline object so each has a duration of one frame and the layers are sequenced in the correct order. Changing the attributes of an Illustrator object in one layer has no effect on the same object in other layers. To import an Adobe Illustrator image sequence: 1. Choose File | Open (CTRL+O). Note: You can also choose File | Import. 2. Use the file browser to locate the Adobe Illustrator image sequence you want to import. Select the sequence and click OK (ENTER). The Open Footage dialog appears. 3. Click the button that corresponds to the branch type into which you want to open the Adobe Illustrator image sequence. The Illustrator Sequence Import dialog appears. 4. Do one of the following: • To import the first frame of the sequence as a Paint operator with Illustrator objects converted to Paint objects, click Single Image. Proceed to step 8. • To import the entire sequence as a rasterized image sequence or movie format, click Rendered Image Sequence. Proceed to step 5. 5. If you clicked Rendered Image Sequence, the Render options become active. Select the file format to which you want the Adobe Illustrator image sequence rasterized. 6. To set compression and encoding options associated with the selected format, click Options. 7. Set the channel, frame size, and bit depth options. For more information, see "Video Output Options" in Chapter 31, "Rendering''. 8. Click Process. • If you are rasterizing the entire image sequence, the Save dialog opens. Set a location and file name for the rasterized file and then click OK 105

Importing Adobe Illustrator Image

Sequences

When you import Adobe Illustrator image

sequences, you have two choices:

•

Import the first frame of the sequence as a Paint

operator, with one Paint object for each Illustrator

object.

Import the entire sequence as a rasterized image

sequence or movie file.

Note:

To work with Adobe Illustrator image

sequences without losing Illustrator object

information, import each image in the sequence

separately using the Individual Layer or Grouped

To import an Adobe Illustrator image sequence:

Select the sequence and click OK (
