Changing Footage Output Settings ❚❘❘ To set display quality for the footage: 1. Show the Output controls for the Footage operator. 2. Under Resolution, select an item from the Quality list. Quality list Note: Select Custom to degrade the image quality by a factor of your choice. Enter the image degradation factor in the field to the right of the Quality list. To set display quality for all images in the viewports: Select an option from the Display Quality list to the right of the playback controls. Display Quality list Setting Footage Resolution You can change the resolution of the selected footage using the Output controls of the Footage Controls panel. Note: Be careful when increasing resolution of footage too far above its original settings to avoid a pixelated-looking image. To set footage resolution: 1. Show the Output controls for the Footage operator. 2. Set the new resolution values using the Target Width and Target Height fields. Target Width and Target Height fields 3. Enable Proportional to maintain the original footage's aspect ratio. When Proportional is enabled, if you change the height, the width changes accordingly (and the other way around). Note: Changing the global quality setting does not override quality explicitly set for a specific layer or Footage operator. The following options are available. Select Preview Best Medium Draft To View your clips at full resolution. View your clips at full resolution and to use anti-aliasing and supersampling. View your clips at half resolution, or the full resolution of the proxy, if it has been set. View your clips at quarter resolution, or half the resolution of the proxy, if it has been set. Changing the End Behavior The End Behavior setting determines what happens during playback when the end of the footage is reached. This is useful if, for instance, you import a short clip into a longer composite and you want the clip to loop within the composite or hold the last frame. 115
