Controlling Speed ❚❘❘ Using Ease In and Ease Out Two popular animations (speed curves) are Ease In and Ease Out. You can modify a curve at a keyframe to use Ease In, Ease Out, or both. You can also make these curves by dragging the handles on the keyframes in the Speed curve. The movement at the start and end becomes more smooth and natural looking. When Ease In is used on the Speed curve, the speed of the object slowly ramps up at the start. When Ease Out is used, the speed of the object slowly decreases at the end. You can also use Ease In and Ease Out together. To use Ease In and Ease Out: 1. In the Timeline, select a channel (for example, Speed). 2. Select a keyframe on the curve. 3. Right-click the keyframe and choose Ease In, Ease Out, or Ease Both. The curve adjusts as the tangent handles are moved.
