Using the Viewports ❚❘❘ To change the zoom factor: 1. Select a viewport. 2. Do any of the following: • Click Zoom Out or Zoom In , as required. • Show the Toolbar (F2) and drag (scrub) the Magnify tool , or click the Magnify tool and then scrub the viewport. ALT-click to zoom out. You can also CTRL-drag a selection box in the viewport to zoom into an area. • In the Toolbar, click the Magnify tool and choose a percentage from the Zoom Factor list. • Choose Window | Zoom In, or press CTRL+ =. • Choose Window | Zoom Out, or press CTRL+ -. • Choose Window | Fit in Window. • Right-click a viewport or and choose Fit in Window. The whole image or Schematic is displayed in the viewport. • Click Home press =. , choose Window | Home, or Clicking Home cycles the viewport display between a centered image with a 100% zoom factor, an image that fits the viewport, and the most recent custom zoom and pan settings. • Scrub the Home button. To pan the viewport: 1. Select a viewport. 2. Do one of the following: • Scrub the Pan button . • Show the Toolbar (F2) and scrub the Grab tool , or click the Grab tool and scrub the viewport. • Hold down SPACEBAR and scrub the viewport. Changing View Modes You can look at any image channel in a viewport using the different view modes. Several view modes show multiple channels simultaneously (such as alpha overlay). To change the view mode: 1. Select the viewport, then choose Window | View Mode. A menu appears containing all the view modes. The current view mode is checked. 2. Choose the view mode corresponding to the channel you want to see. The image in the active viewport changes to show the selected channel(s). Note: These options are also available in the viewport context menu. You can also use the keyboard shortcuts. For example, press CTRL+SHIFT+8 to see the alpha channel. For more information, see "Using View Modes" in Chapter 9, "Working with Image Channels''. Showing Wireframe Icons You can choose to show or hide various overlays or icons in a viewport. These icons include: • Motion paths (including keyframes and tangent handles) • Wireframe outlines around layers • Light, camera, and Null object icons • Object handles in the Paint, Mask, Selection, and Text operators 23

Using the Viewports

To change the zoom factor:

Select a viewport.

Do any of the following:

•

Click Zoom Out

or Zoom In

, as

required.

•

Show the Toolbar (

) and drag (

scrub

) the

Magnify tool

, or click the Magnify tool and

then scrub the viewport.

You can also

In the Toolbar, click the Magnify tool and choose

a percentage from the Zoom Factor list.

Changing View Modes

You can look at any image channel in a viewport

using the different view modes. Several view modes

show multiple channels simultaneously (such as

alpha overlay).

To change the view mode:

Select the viewport, then choose Window | View

Mode.

A menu appears containing all the view modes.

The current view mode is checked.

Choose the view mode corresponding to the

channel you want to see.

The image in the active viewport changes to show

the selected channel(s).

Note:

These options are also available in the

viewport context menu. You can also use the
