Using the Expression Browser ❚❘❘ Note: Changing the Picon Frame Range has no effect on the animation result. • The parameters' options for the selected predefined expression script. The parameters' options are accessible after selecting a predefined expression. Adding a Predefined Expression The Expression Browser enables you to quickly view graphical representations of predefined expressions, use any of the predefined expressions, and change the predefined expressions' parameter options. When you apply a predefined expression to a channel, you can change the predefined expression's variables via the Multi-line Editor in the Timeline. For more information, see Editing an Expression via the Multi-line Editor. The predefined expressions category list is contextsensitive. It displays the predefined expressions applicable to the selected channel(s). In the following example, the predefined expression category list includes Simple and Complex functions. Each category displays the predefined expression applicable to the selected channel(s). Combustion includes the following predefined expression categories: • Simple • Complex • Random Functions • Three-Dimensional Parametric Curves The parameter options available for the selected predefined expression are displayed in the right pane. Each parameter has a value based on its input source. The following is a list of parameter input sources: • Value • GetCurrentFrame • GetGlobalTime • GetLocalTime • Value*GetCurrentFrame • Value*GetLocalTime • Value*GetGlobalTime Value (in the right pane) is the number specified in the slider. When you choose GetCurrentFrame, the number used for its value is the result of the method 315
