Setting Preferences ❚❘❘ The selected panel(s) are undocked. You can now move and resize the panel. Setting Mesh Preferences In Autodesk® 3ds Max®, you can choose to display your 3D objects as 2D meshes in Combustion. Use the mesh preferences to customize the appearance of the mesh. To set the mesh preferences: 1. In the Host category, click Mesh. The Mesh preferences appear. Setting Capture Preferences Use the capture preferences to choose the type of device you are capturing from and set the default location of your captured files. To set the capture preferences: 1. In the Host category, click Capture. The Capture preferences appear. 2. Choose the capture device in the Capture Device Type list. 2. Set the following options, as required. Enable Anti-Alias Mesh Display During Playback Color To Remove jaggies from the mesh lines. Display the mesh when you play back an animation. Click the color box to choose a custom color from the Pick Color dialog. See Using the Pick Color Dialog. Depending on the operating system you are using, the following device types are available. Enable None DirectShow QuickTime To Disable Quick Capture. Capture from DirectShow® devices. Capture from QuickTime® devices. 3. If you chose DirectShow, click the Options button, and enter the path of the directory to which you want to save temporary captured files, or click Browse and select the directory. Note: This location is only temporary. Once capturing is complete, files are moved to the location specified in the Quick Capture dialog.
