Customizing the Schematic View ❚❘❘ set thumbnail displays and change the direction of the Schematic flow. Panning and Zooming the Schematic Pan your view in the Schematic to see nodes that are not visible at the current zoom factor. There are many ways to pan and zoom the Schematic view. To change the zoom factor: • Click Zoom Out required. or Zoom In , as • Show the Toolbar and scrub the Magnify tool , or click the button and click the viewport (or ALTclick to zoom in and out). You can also CTRL-drag a selection box to zoom into an area. • Choose Window | Zoom In (CTRL+ =). • Choose Window | Zoom Out (CTRL+ -). • You can also use your mouse scroll wheel to zoom in and out. • Scrub the Home button. • Choose Window | Fit in Window to fit the Schematic to the viewport. • Click Home or choose Window | Home to return to a 100% zoomed image. Click Home again to fit the current Schematic to the size of the viewport. Click Home a third time to return to the last-selected zoom factor and pan setting. • You can use the scroll wheel, if your mouse is equipped with one, to zoom in or out. Scrolling down on the wheel zooms out, scrolling up zooms in. To pan the Schematic view: • Scrub the Pan button . • Show the Toolbar and scrub the Grab tool , or click the button and drag in the viewport. • Hold down SPACEBAR and drag in the viewport. • Drag the rectangle inside the Schematic Overview. For more information, see Using the Schematic Overview. • You can use the middle mouse button, if your mouse is equipped with one, to pan by clicking and dragging with it. On some mouse devices, holding the scroll wheel is equivalent to the middle mouse button. Using the Schematic Overview You can navigate the Schematic view quickly using the Schematic Overview. When the process tree does not fit in the Schematic view due to the number of nodes or due to the zoom factor, the content in the overview rectangle represents the visible nodes. Overview rectangle Overview tool When Display Overview is enabled in the Preferences, it appears in a corner of the Schematic view. It shows an overview of the entire process tree. You can pan the Schematic Overview by dragging the rectangle inside the Schematic Overview. To customize the Schematic Overview: 1. Choose File | Preferences (CTRL+;). 2. In the Schematic category of the Preferences dialog, click General. The Schematic preferences appear. 3. Enable Display Overview. 177

Panning and Zooming the Schematic

Pan your view in the Schematic to see nodes that are

not visible at the current zoom factor. There are

many ways to pan and zoom the Schematic view.

To change the zoom factor:

•

Click Zoom Out

or Zoom In

required.

Show the Toolbar and scrub the Magnify tool

or click the button and click the viewport (or

click to zoom in and out). You can also
