23 Keying 4. Adjust the tolerance range in problem areas by using the Tolerance color pickers, or by plotting a color and then adjusting the tolerance in the Luma gradient and Hue cube. Dragging the tolerance wireframe control points in the Hue cube, or the tolerance line control point in the Luma gradient (representing the tolerance of the sampled pixel), adds or removes the sampled pixel from the range. 5. Adjust the softness range in the Luma gradient, or use the Softness color pickers. 6. Where The luma gradient defines which luma range of that hue is keyed out. • In the Hue cube, drag the control points of the tolerance (red) wireframe. 4. Adjust the softness by doing one of the following: • Click the Add Softness or the Subtract Softness color picker and drag in the composite. The corresponding hue and luma ranges are sampled. The values sampled are added to the current softness range. • In the Luma gradient, drag the yellow lines or enter values in the Softness fields. Where the softness range in the hue cube defines the hue keyed out, the luma gradient defines which luma range of that hue is keyed out. • In the Hue cube, drag the control points of the yellow wireframe. 5.
