Adding Timeline Markers You can add markers to the Edit timeline to help keep track of editing cues, for example. Markers appear in the Edit timeline below the frame numbers at the bottom. Markers are simply reference points, and they have no effect on the Edit operator output. They can be helpful to indicate where to add footage or transitions, and can also be used as reference points. Once you create markers, you can move them to new locations or lock their positions on the timeline. You can also add comments to markers and change the color of the markers. To add a marker: 1. Drag the Current Time indicator at the point in the Edit timeline where you want to add a marker. 2. Do one of the following: • Choose Edit | Add Operator Marker. • Press M. A yellow marker is added to the Edit timeline at the current frame or timecode. Note: To snap markers to the nearest cut point, transition head, transition tail, the Current Time indicator, or frame 0, press SHIFT while dragging. • Right-click the marker, and choose Edit. In the Marker dialog, enter the new position in the Time field and click OK or press ENTER twice. To navigate the timeline using the markers: 1. In the Timeline (F4), select an operator. 2. In the Playback controls, do one of the following: • Click the Previous Marker button the previous marker. to go to • Click the Next Marker button next marker. to go to the To delete markers: Do one of the following: • Right-click a marker and choose Delete This Marker. • Right-click a marker and choose Delete All Markers. • When you select Delete All Markers, all markers along the current operator or layer duration bar are deleted. Adding Timeline Markers

You can add markers to the Edit timeline to help

keep track of editing cues, for example. Markers

appear in the Edit timeline below the frame numbers

at the bottom. Markers are simply reference points,

Once you create markers, you can move them to new

To add a marker:

Drag the Current Time indicator at the point in

Do one of the following:
