32 Network Rendering Servers Menu Use the Servers menu options in the upper left pane to access information on job servers, as well as assign or remove jobs, and determine a server's availability. All Servers menu options, with the exception of the Column Chooser function, are available only if a server is selected in the All Servers list. The Servers menu options are also available by rightclicking a server in the server list. Assign to Selected Jobs-Assigns the selected server(s) to the selected job(s). Remove from Selected Jobs-Removes the selected job(s) from the selected servers or servers. Remove from Selected Group-Removes the selected server(s) from the selected group in the tree view. Column Chooser-Opens the Server Columns dialog, which enables you to add information on the servers by dragging the selected column into the All Server list title row. To remove a column, right-click its title and then choose Remove This Column. You cannot remove the Job or the Order column. Week Schedule-Opens the Week Schedule dialog for the selected server. The Week Schedule enables you to define when the server is available to render jobs. Delete Server-Removes the selected server from the list of render servers. Properties-Opens the Server Properties dialog displaying information on the current setup of the workstation that is running as a server. Displayed information includes job and server statistics, the server's system configuration, and TCP/IP statistics. Reset Server Index-Lets you set the Performance parameter back to 0. The server index is computed based on historic data. Use this if you've changed the server setup (for instance, you've added memory or substituted a faster workstation) and want to reevaluate the server's relative performance during a rendering job. You may also want to reset the index when wildly different jobs are running. Another example of when to reset the index is when a server that was used as both file server and Backburner server is now dedicated to Backburner jobs. As it is no longer burdened by its file server chores, its historical data will inaccurately keep it flagged as a slow server. View Menu Use the View menu options in the upper left pane to manage the arrangement of the Queue Monitor window. Each combination of hidden, displayed or reiszed elements isc alled a view. A view can be saved to a file for future use. Toolbar-Toggles display of the Backburner Queue Monitor toolbar. Status Bar-Toggles display of the Backburner Queue Monitor status bar. When on, the status bar appears at the bottom of the Backburner Queue Monitor window and displays status prompts. Save View-Save the current view to a *.view file. Load View-Load a *.view file and use its configuration as the current view. Recent Views-Lists recently saved *.view files. Help Menu Use the Help menu in the upper left pane to access information on the Backburner Queue Monitor application. Servers Menu

Use the Servers menu options in the upper left pane

to access information on job servers, as well as assign

or remove jobs, and determine a server’s availability.

All Servers menu options, with the exception of the

Column Chooser function, are available only if a

server is selected in the All Servers list.

The Servers menu options are also available by right-

clicking a server in the server list.

Assign to Selected Jobs

—Assigns the selected

server(s) to the selected job(s).

Remove from Selected Jobs

—Removes the

selected job(s) from the selected servers or servers.

Remove from Selected Group

—Removes the

selected server(s) from the selected group in the tree

view.

Column Chooser

—Opens the Server Columns

dialog, which enables you to add information on the

servers by dragging the selected column into the All

Server list title row.

To remove a column, right-click its title and then

the Job or the Order column.
