Click to add a control point at that location. Deleting Object Control Points You can remove one or more control points from an object after it has been created. To delete a control point from an object: 1. Select the object. 2. In the Toolbar, click the Edit Control Points option . The object's control points appear. 3. Click the control point that you want to delete. The point changes to a solid white square, and its tangent, if it has any, appears. 4. Press DELETE. Note: To delete multiple control points at once, draw a selection box around the points you want to remove, and then press DELETE. To group control points of an object: 1. Select the object. 2. In the Toolbar, click the Edit Control Points option . The object's control points appear. 3. Click the first control point and SHIFT-click each additional control point you want to include in the group, or draw a selection box around the control points you want to group. Note: To remove a control point from the selection, SHIFT-click a control point a second time. 4. Choose Object | Group or press CTRL+G to group the selected control points. A bounding box appears around the group. It contains a pivot point with a rotation handle. Grouping Object Control Points You can group any of the control points of an object and move, rotate, scale, or shear those points as a group. Each group of control points has its own bounding box, pivot point and rotation handle. Note: You cannot nest control point groups, nor can a control point be in more than one control point group. In the Workspace panel, a group appears under the object. In the Timeline, a group appears under the Point Groups element of the object. The group only references the control points it contains. Thus, you cannot manipulate the individual control points from within the group. In the Workspace panel, a Group element appears under the object, and in the Timeline, a Group element appears under the Point Groups element of the object. 463

Move the cursor to any location along the edge of

the object.

indicates that you can add a control point.

Click to add a control point at that location.

Deleting Object Control Points

You can remove one or more control points from an

object after it has been created.

To delete a control point from an object:

Select the object.

In the Toolbar, click the Edit Control Points

option

The object’s control points appear.

Click the control point that you want to delete.

The point changes to a solid white square, and its

tangent, if it has any, appears.

To delete multiple control points at once,

Grouping Object Control Points

You can group any of the control points of an object

and move, rotate, scale, or shear those points as a

group. Each group of control points has its own

bounding box, pivot point and rotation handle.

Note:

You cannot nest control point groups, nor can

a control point be in more than one control point

group.

In the Workspace panel, a group appears under the

object. In the Timeline, a group appears under the

Point Groups element of the object. The group only

references the control points it contains. Thus, you

cannot manipulate the individual control points

from within the group.

To group control points of an object:

Select the object.

In the Toolbar, click the Edit Control Points

option

The object’s control points appear.

Click the first control point and

HIFT

-click each

additional control point you want to include in

the group, or draw a selection box around the

control points you want to group.

Note:

To remove a control point from the

selection,

HIFT

-click a control point a second

time.

Choose Object | Group or press

TRL

to group

the selected control points.
