Selection Operators ❚❘❘ For more information, refer to the RE:Vision Effects documentation on the Autodesk Combustion 2008 installation CD. AE RE:Flex Warp Use AE RE:Flex Warp to perform free-form distortion of images, such as elongating someone's nose. Morphing is a transition effect that matches the morphology of one clip gradually to that of another clip, such as a human morphing into an alien. The AE RE:Flex Warp includes the following: • Warping is directed using sets of "from" geometries and "to" geometries at each frame • The amount of warping can be specified and animated with one number • Variable amount of shape blending between "from" and "to" geometries can be specified per-shape For more information, refer to the RE:Vision Effects documentation on the Autodesk Combustion 2008 installation CD. Selection Operators Use Selection operators to isolate a portion of the image. Any operators applied after the selection affects only the selected portion of the image. For more information, see "Using Operators with Selections" in Chapter 5, "Compositing''. You can also create selections using the Paint operator. For more information, see Chapter 19, "Paint: Drawing Selections''. The following controls are available for Rectangle, Ellipse, and Draw Selection operators. Combine Mode List-If you create several selections in the same operator, the combination mode determines how the selections are combined. In addition, if you place a Channel selection above another Selection operator, the list determines how the two selections are combined. Feather-Softens the edge of the selection, and softens the edge of any filter applied to the selection. Invert-Selects the area outside the selection. Anti-Alias-Smooths any jagged edges. Edge Gradient-Just like the Mask operators, the Selection operators have controls for edge gradients. Use the Offset, In/Out, or Splines edge gradient options to define the inner and outer softness of a selection. For more information, see "Using Mask Edge Gradients" in Chapter 10, "Using Masks''. Channel Selection Creates a selection based on a color channel. Channel list-Determines the channel to select. Feather-Softens the edge of the selection. Expand-Increases the size of the selection by the specified number of pixels. Selection list-Determines how the selection is added to other selections. Invert-Selects the portion of the image outside the selection. Note: To see the selection marquee, double-click the Channel Selection operator icon or double-click the layer in the Workspace panel. Compound Channel Selection Creates a selection based on a color channel in the current layer or in any operator in the workspace. Channel list-Determines the channel to select. AE RE:Flex Warp
