Discreet Keyer Interface ❚❘❘ Plot-Plots a pixel's matte value on the Matte curves. To plot a pixel, click the picker and sample a pixel in the Keyer or Composite viewport. Click the picker and CTRL-drag your cursor over an area to sample the average matte value in the area inside a selection box. Curves Controls Control point To modify a matte curve: Click a curve to select it. Click the selected curve to add a control point. Drag a control point to remap the brightness of the corresponding matte at that point. You can also use the following keyboard shortcuts. Press DELETE CTRL+A CTRL+D To Delete selected control points. Select all control points. Deselect all control points. Color Controls Use the Color controls to correct any color spill that remains in the front image after the keying process. Note: When you first open the Color controls, the seven color curves are one on top of another and appear as one. The following curves appear in the Color controls. Hue Shift-Shifts a hue toward the Hue Shift Target. Supp-Suppresses a specific color from a hue. Color suppression reduces the saturation of the Suppression Target color. Sat-Changes the saturation of a hue Red-Changes the value of the Red component in a hue. Green-Changes the value of the Green component in a hue. Blue-Changes the value of the Blue component in a hue. LUM-Modifies the luminosity of a hue. The following controls are also available. Hue Shift Target-Determines the color to use instead of the unwanted color spill. When you apply a hue shift, the unwanted hues are replaced by the hue shift target. To specify this target color, click the picker and sample a color from the image. For example, if you are removing blue spill from hair, you set the hue shift target to the hair color. Color Suppression Target-Determines which color to suppress. To select a color, click the picker and sample a color in the viewport. By default, the color suppression target is the key color. Plot-Plots a color in the hue spectrum. Click the picker and sample a color from the image. The color 613

Plot

—Plots a pixel’s matte value on the Matte

curves. To plot a pixel, click the picker and sample a

pixel in the Keyer or Composite viewport. Click the

picker and

sample the average matte value in the area inside a

selection box.

To modify a matte curve:

Click a curve to select it. Click the selected curve to

add a control point. Drag a control point to remap

the brightness of the corresponding matte at that

point.

You can also use the following keyboard shortcuts.

Color Controls

Use the Color controls to correct any color spill that

remains in the front image after the keying process.

Note:

When you first open the Color controls, the

Hue Shift

—Shifts a hue toward the Hue Shift

Target.

Supp

—Suppresses a specific color from a hue.

Color suppression reduces the saturation of the

Sat

—Changes the value of the Red component in a

hue.

Green

—Changes the value of the Green component

in a hue.

Blue

—Changes the value of the Blue component in

a hue.

LUM
