Note: You can animate the Fill tool properties as you would any other drawing object. Arrow (Move/Edit) Tool Whether you are working with geometry, selection, or text objects, before you can edit an object, you must select it using the Arrow (Move/Edit) tool. To select an object: 1. In the Toolbar, click the Arrow (Move/Edit) tool . 2. Click the object in the viewport. The object is highlighted with a bounding box, and its name is highlighted in the Timeline list. Note: To select an object, you can also click the object's name in the Workspace panel (F3) or Timeline list (F2). For more information on using the Timeline, see Chapter 12, "Creating Animations''. To select several objects at once: 1. In the Toolbar, click the Arrow tool . 2. SHIFT-click the objects, or click and drag the cursor around the objects in the viewport. You can combine these two methods, for example, click and drag the cursor around several objects to select them, and then SHIFT-click additional objects to add them to the selection. To select objects that are part of a group: Press CTRL and click an object. This is useful for selecting letters in a text object. Note: To select the entire group, click an object. To multi-select objects that are part of a group: Do one of the following: • Press CTRL+SHIFT and click the objects in the viewport. • Press CTRL and click and drag the cursor around the objects in the viewport.
