Deleting Objects ❚❘❘ The object is copied to the clipboard. 3. Select the Paint operator where you want to paste the object. 4. Choose Edit | Paste. The object is pasted into the selected Paint operator. To copy an object into the same branch: 1. Select the object. 2. Choose Edit | Duplicate. A copy of the object appears directly on top of the original object. When you move it, the object underneath is revealed. Note: You can also duplicate an object by pressing ALT while clicking and dragging it. Copying Motion Paths You can copy the motion path from one object to one or more other objects. To copy a motion path: 1. Select the object whose motion path you want to copy. 2. Press SHIFT+ALT and click the object(s) to receive the motion path. 3. Press CTRL+M. The first object's motion path is copied to the other object(s). To delete all objects at once: Choose Edit | Delete All (or press SHIFT+DELETE). Undoing Edits Use Undo to remove unwanted edits. Combustion provides unlimited user-defined levels of Undo. You can undo a keyframe, color change, and so on. You are not limited to edits made to objects. To set the number of undo levels: 1. Choose File | Preferences | General. 2. Enter the desired number in the Undo Levels field. To undo unwanted edits: 1. Choose Edit | Undo or press CTRL+Z. Your last edit is undone. 2. Repeat this procedure to undo previous edits or commands. 3. To redo an edit, choose Edit | Redo or press CTRL+SHIFT+Z. You can redo edits up to the last edit you made. Using Draw Modes By default, tools are set to Paint draw mode, which applies the current color to the image on the screen. By changing the draw mode, you can use Paint tools to create varying effects. Deleting Objects You can delete objects in your branch one at a time or all at once. To delete an object: 1. Select the object(s). 2. Choose Edit | Delete (or press DELETE). The object is deleted. 471
