32 Network Rendering Render Queue Controls This section describes the Render Queue controls as they apply to submitting up network rendering jobs. Global Settings: Main Panel Use the Main panel to set public paths, define notification, connect to a Backburner Manager, and set network render job options. Input Folder-Sets the path to a public folder that stores footage for a workspace. See Setting Up Input/ Output Folders. Note: The Input Folder path is used for all enabled outputs in the workspace. All required footage must be in the folder you set in this field. Output Folder-Sets the path to a public folder where you want the servers to save the rendered frames. See Setting Up Input/Output Folders. Note: The Output Folder path is used for all enabled outputs in the workspace. All rendered jobs are sent to the folder you set in this field. Notification-Sets the preferences for how Backburner notifies you by e-mail when a specific number of frames has been rendered, or when the render job has been completed. Send Email-When enabled, sets up e-mail notification. You need to set your e-mail address and mail server in the Render Queue preferences (when you submit the job). On Completion-Sends a notification message when a render job is completed. Note: Send Email must be enabled for this notification. On Failures-Sends a notification message when any errors or problems rendering the job occur, whether they are server, job, or task errors. Note: Send Email must be enabled for this notification. On Progress-Sends a notification message when a specific number of frames has been rendered. The number of frames is determined in the Every Frames field beside the On Progress option. Note: Send Email must be enabled for this notification. Use Network Rendering-Connects to a manager or displays the Manager Selection dialog (depending on the preferences). The designated manager is selected in this dialog. Once the connection is established to the manager, the network rendering options become available. A list of all servers is displayed in the Servers panel. Disable Use Network Rendering to disconnect the workstation from the manager. Job Name-Sets the name of the job. By default, the job name is the name of the Combustion workspace. Description-Contains extra job information. For example, you can enter more descriptive information about the job in addition to the job name. Priority-Sets the priority of the render job. A priority is a value between 1 and 100-the lower the number, the higher the job priority. Critical-Sets the job priority to critical. Once a critical job is submitted to the queue, any current job in progress is interrupted, and the critical job is started. Suspend-Sets the job to be suspended when it is submitted to the manager. This allows you to start the job manually using the Queue Monitor. Use All Available Servers-Sets the current render output to use every active render server on the network, including servers activated after you 816

Render Queue Controls

This section describes the Render Queue controls as

they apply to submitting up network rendering jobs.

Global Settings: Main Panel

Use the Main panel to set public paths, define

notification, connect to a

Backburner

Manager, and

set network render job options.

Input Folder

—Sets the path to a public folder that

stores footage for a workspace. See

Setting Up Input/

Output Folders

Note:

The Input Folder path is used for all enabled

outputs in the workspace. All required footage must

be in the folder you set in this field.

Output Folder

—Sets the path to a public folder

where you want the servers to save the rendered

frames. See

Notification
