Click the Color gradient bar to add color gradient tags (you need at least two tags to create a gradient). In the Paint Controls panel, click the Modes button. The Modes controls appear. 3. Click the Gradient source type button. 6. Click and drag the tags to adjust the position. 7. Set the color for each tag to apply new colors to the different portions of the gradient. To set a tag's color, double-click the tag. The Pick Color dialog appears. Select a color, then click OK. You can also select a tag, then click a color from the color swatches. Note: A third way is to right-click or CTRL-click a tag, then select a color from the palette. Click outside the palette to confirm your choice, or press ESC to cancel. The colors appear in the color bar. A preview of the gradient appears in the direction control box and on the object in the viewport(s). 485
