Transforming Layers ❚❘❘ 2. To set values for the position of the layer, click the Transform button and do one of the following: • Scrub the X, Y, and Z Position fields, or enter values in the Position fields. • Double-click the position fields and enter the values in the Enter position dialogs. • Double-click the Arrow tool in the Toolbar and change the position values in the Position dialog. The options to change how precisely the slider value increases or decreases are described in "Button Conventions" in Chapter 2, "Welcome to Combustion''. If you have multiple layers selected, using the Transform controls changes the values for all selected layers. For example, if you enter values in the Position fields, the first selected layer moves to that position, and the other selected layers move the same amount, maintaining their relative position from the first selected layer. 3. To return to the default values, click the Position Reset button. 4. To move the layer in a viewport, drag the layer in the viewport. Note: If the Arrow tool TAB. is not selected, press The layer moves to the new position. 5. To constrain the movement to one or more axes, select the X, Y, and Z options in the Toolbar. Notice the X, Y, and Z axes are selected by default. Note: Depending on the view, you can constrain movement when you left-click and drag or rightclick and drag in the viewport. See Tool Constraint Shortcuts. To rotate a layer: 1. Select the layer. Note: SHIFT-click or CTRL-click to select multiple layers. 2. To set the rotation values of the layer, click the Transform button and do one of the following: • Scrub the X, Y, and Z Rotation fields, or enter values in the Rotation fields. • Double-click the Rotation fields and enter the values in the Enter position dialogs. • Double-click the Rotate tool in the Toolbar and change the Rotation values in the Rotation dialog. 3. To return to the default values, click the Rotation Reset button. 4. To rotate the layer in a viewport, if not selected, click the Rotate tool in the Toolbar and then drag the layer in a viewport. Note: Left-click and drag to rotate along the X and Y axes. Right-click a and drag to rotate on the Zaxis. 5. To set values for the position of the layer, click the

Transform button and do one of the following:

•

Scrub the X, Y, and Z Position fields, or enter

values in the Position fields.

•

Double-click the position fields and enter the

values in the Enter position dialogs.

•

Double-click the Arrow tool in the Toolbar and

change the position values in the Position dialog.

If you have multiple layers selected, using the
