Using Rich Pixel Renderings ❚❘❘ To create an RPF file for compositing in Combustion: 1. In 3ds Max, choose Rendering | Render Setup | Common. In the Common Parameters rollout, click Files in the Render Output group. To modify the Render Channels settings: 1. In the Rendering dialog, choose Render Setup | Common. In the Common Parameters rollout, click Files in the Render Output group. The Render Output dialog appears. 2. Click Setup. 2. In the Render Output File dialog, select RPF from the Save as Type list. 3. Navigate to the location where you want to save the file, enter a filename, and then click Save. The RPF Image File Format dialog appears. 4. Select the channels to store in the rendered file, then click OK. See Render Channels Used in 3D Post Filters. 5. In the Render Scene dialog, click Render to render the scene and save the file. The RPF Image File Format dialog appears. 3. Select the channels to store in the rendered file and click OK.
