16 Introduction to Paint Brushes palette Using Brush Sets You can create brush sets, and then organize your brushes by placing them in different brush sets. By default, Combustion includes the following brush sets: AirBrushes, Custom, Default, FX Brushes, and Solid. When you create a brush, the new brush is inserted before the selected brush. In the Brushes palette, a new brush is added and highlighted. 2. Set the attributes for the new brush. See Editing Brush Attributes. In the Brushes palette, and in the Brush preview, the brush changes as you modify the brush parameters. You can now work with the new brush. To copy and paste brushes: 1. In the Brushes palette, select a brush. 2. Click the Brushes menu button ( ) and choose Copy Brush. Note: You can also choose Cut Brush to remove it from its current location and copy it. 3. Select the location where you want to paste the brush. 4. Click the Brushes menu button ( ) and choose Paste Brush. A duplicate of the brush is added to the palette. To delete a brush: 1. In the Brushes palette, select a brush. 2. Click the Brushes menu button ( ) and choose Delete Brush. The selected brush is removed from the palette. Brush sets To select a brush set: Click the Brushes menu button ( ) and choose a brush set from the list of brushes. The selected brush set appears in the Brushes palette. To create a brush set: 1. Click the Brushes menu button ( New Brush Set. ) and choose The Enter New Brush Set Name dialog appears. 2. Enter the name of the new brush set and click OK or press ENTER. The new brush set appears with three default brushes in the Brushes palette. You can now create brushes for this palette (see Creating a Brush). 430
