Editing Keyframes and Animation Curves ❚❘❘ • You can also delete keyframes and change the interpolation method used to compute values for in-between frames. Editing Keyframes with the Context Menu Context menus also provide quick access for modifying channels and keyframes in the Timeline. Right-click an item in the Timeline to access the following menus. These options are only available when the channel has keyframes. The next or previous frame that contains a keyframe appears in the active viewport. 2. Edit any of the layer's Transformation channels. The keyframe automatically reflects any changes you make. Editing Keyframes in Graph View Use Graph mode to gain precise control over keyframes and animation between keyframes. To edit a keyframe in Graph mode: 1. In the Timeline controls, select Graph from the mode button. Mode button Context menu for a keyframe. Editing Keyframes in the Active Viewport To quickly set up an animation, position your layers to set keyframes in the active viewport. To edit a keyframe in the active viewport: 1. Click or in the playback controls to go to the previous or next keyframe. Note: You can also press SHIFT+PAGE UP to go to the previous keyframe, or SHIFT+PAGE DOWN to go to the next keyframe. 2. In the Timeline list, click the channel whose keyframe you want to edit. When you select a channel, all its keyframes are also selected. Note: To select several channels for editing, draw a selection box around the channels you want to select, or CTRL-click each one. When you select multiple channels, each channel appears in a different color. The curve appears in the Timeline Graph view. The value of the channel at the current frame appears in the Timeline list. 3. Select the keyframe(s) you want to edit. 4. Click and drag a keyframe up or down to change its value. Right-click and drag to move it in time. 5. Drag a tangent handle to change the shape of the curve at the keyframe. CTRL-drag to break the tangent handle. 289
