To do so, choose: My Computer | Properties | Advanced | Environment Variables Note: For detailed information on using Cleaner, please refer to your Cleaner product documentation. To set up local encoding in Cleaner: 1. Select the required output. The Cleaner encoding options are applied on a per-output basis. 2. In the Output Settings panel, enable Cleaner. The Cleaner Settings button becomes available. 3. Click Settings. The Cleaner Export Settings dialog appears. The options that appear depend on your system configuration. If Cleaner is installed on your workstation, the Local Render option is available. If you have Backburner installed, the Network Render option is available. 4. Choose an output profile from the list, or click Browse to navigate to the required file. Cleaner output files have a .opt file extension. On Windows systems, the default location is: C:\Program Files\Autodesk\Cleaner XL\OutputProfile\ 5. To override the destination for the encoded file that is specified in the output profile, enable Destination and navigate to the required directory. 6. To specify an audio file other than the Combustion audio source, enable Audio File Input, then click the Audio File button and navigate to the required file. Note: This option can also be useful to prevent duplicate rendering of your audio source. Simply disable Audio Output in the Autodesk Combustion Render Queue, and then specify the audio source to send to Cleaner. 7. Enable Local Render to encode the file on your workstation. The file will be encoded locally. However the destination may not be local. For example, the destination could be specified as a UNC path to another machine or an FTP site. Note: To use a FTP site as your destination, it must be specified in the output profile. 8. Click OK. 9. Repeat steps 1-8 for each output that you would like to encode. To set up network encoding in Cleaner: 1. Select the required output. The Cleaner encoding options are applied on a per-output basis. 2. In the Output Settings panel, enable Cleaner. If the location of the Temp directory differs on your

system, you can consult your system environment

variables to find the correct location. To do so,

choose:

My Computer | Properties | Advanced |

To set up local encoding in Cleaner:

Select the required output.

The

Cleaner

encoding options are applied on a

per-output basis.

In the Output Settings panel, enable

Cleaner

The

Cleaner

Settings button becomes available.

Click Settings.

The

Cleaner

Export Settings dialog appears.

The options that appear depend on your system

configuration. If

Cleaner

is installed on your

workstation, the Local Render option is available.

If you have

Backburner

installed, the Network

Render option is available.
