17 Paint: Drawing Basics Creating Paint Objects for Output to .swf File Format If you want to create Paint objects and save your objects as .swf files, enable the Flash mode button in the Paint Toolbar to make sure the Paint options you use are supported for output to Adobe Flash, then draw a Paint object using the Drawing tools in the Toolbar. See Creating Paint Objects. Note: Effects operators are not supported for output to .swf file format. Animating Paint Objects for Output to .swf File Format You can animate a Paint object in Combustion and output your animations to .swf file format. Refer to the previous table listing all the Paint features and options supported for output to .swf file format. Note: When you animate points and gradient values using keyframes, Combustion exports the animation using Linear interpolation. Previewing Paint Objects in Adobe Flash Player As you create and animate your Paint object(s), you can preview your work in the Adobe Flash Player view within Combustion before outputting your object(s) to .swf file format. To preview your work in the Adobe Flash Player: 1. From the viewport list, select a viewport layout option other than single-viewport. 2. Right-click a viewport and choose Flash View. The viewport displays Adobe Flash Player at the top of the viewport. 3. Select the Toolbar (F2). There are no Toolbar options when the active viewport is set to Adobe Flash Player. You cannot draw in the Adobe Flash Player; you can only preview your work in the Player. 4. Click another viewport and draw an object or make changes to the current object. The changes you make are updated dynamically in the Adobe Flash Player. To preview your animation: 1. Click the Adobe Flash Player viewport. 2. Click . The Adobe Flash Player plays the animation. You can use the Playback controls, and you can pan and zoom in the Adobe Flash Player. Note: You cannot play backward in the Adobe Flash Player. 3. Click the other viewport. 4. Click animation. or press SPACEBAR to view the Both viewports play the animation. 480
