6 Using Schematic View Using Footage Library View All footage used in the workspace appears in the Footage Library. To see all the Footage nodes with scrubbable thumbnails and footage information, show the Footage Library view in a viewport. Note: You can also see a listing of the footage in the Footage Library at the bottom of the Workspace panel or Timeline. Footage Library view is similar to Schematic view, except the only nodes that appear are the Footage nodes. To show the Footage Library view: 1. If more than one viewport is showing, click the viewport in which you want to display the Footage Library view. 2. Do one of the following: • Choose Window | Footage Library, or press SHIFT+F12, or press ~ (SHIFT+'). • Right-click the viewport and choose Footage Library. The Footage Library view appears in the active viewport. To hide the Footage Library view: Do one of the following: • Choose Window | Footage Library, or press SHIFT+F12, or press ~ (SHIFT+'). • Right-click the viewport and choose Footage Library. • Replace the Footage Library view by sending an operator to the viewport. There are several ways to do this. For example, double-click the operator in Workspace panel. • Replace the Footage Library view by showing the Schematic view. Previewing Footage Nodes You can scrub a Footage node to view the clip. To do this, click in the upper third of the node and drag back and forth. When you release the mouse button, the thumbnail stays at the frame you are viewing. This behavior differs from the Schematic view because the Footage Library view is not linked to the current frame (as indicated in the Frame controls). Scrub Indicator for Clips Click in the lower two thirds of thumbnail (or on footage information) to move the node. Footage Library View Commands Many of the features in the Schematic view are also available in the Footage Library view: • You can double-click a Footage node to display the Footage Controls panel. The operator node that is currently displayed in the Controls panel has no drop shadow. • You can triple-click a Footage node to hide the Footage Library view and make the Footage operator the current operator in the viewport. • You can pan and zoom the view. • You can select, rename, and delete Footage nodes. • You can move nodes, use the Layout menu option, or enable Auto Layout. (The Auto Layout option for the Footage Library view is in the Footage Library preferences.) 184

Using Footage Library View

All footage used in the workspace appears in the

Footage Library. To see all the Footage nodes with

scrubbable thumbnails and footage information,

show the Footage Library view in a viewport.

Note:

You can also see a listing of the footage in the

Footage Library at the bottom of the Workspace

panel or Timeline.

Footage Library view is similar to Schematic view,

except the only nodes that appear are the Footage

nodes.

To show the Footage Library view:

If more than one viewport is showing, click the

viewport in which you want to display the

Footage Library view.

Do one of the following:

Choose Window | Footage Library, or press

HIFT

+F12

Right-click the viewport and choose Footage

Library.

The Footage Library view appears in the active

Previewing Footage Nodes

You can scrub a Footage node to view the clip. To do
