6 Using Schematic View 4. Set the width and height of the overview. The units are percentage of viewport dimensions. 5. From the Location list, select the corner of the viewport where you want to display the Schematic Overview. 6. Click OK (ENTER). Resizing the Schematic View The Schematic view appears in a viewport. You can change the size of the viewport to see more of the process tree. There are several ways to do this. To resize the Schematic view: • Show the single-viewport layout . • Choose Window | Palettes | Show Viewports Only (F11). The Schematic view becomes full-screen. To return to the default screen layout, choose this command again. • If you have multiple monitors, you can configure one of the monitors to show full-screen view, and set its viewport to show the Schematic view. • If the monitor has extra room in the bottom menu area, the Menu Height preference may be set higher than the minimum value. In the Preferences dialog, display the Monitors category and set the Menu Height to a lower number. This provides more space for the viewports. Displaying Thumbnails All operator nodes can display a thumbnail above the operator label, either globally or on a per-node basis. You can set thumbnails to always display. This preference is set separately for four operator node types: • Footage • Paint • Composite • Operators - includes all operators except Footage, Paint, and Composite If you do not set thumbnails to always display, you can still toggle the thumbnails for that type of node. For example, if the option for Paint is disabled, you can show and hide the thumbnail for a Paint operator. To toggle a node thumbnail on or off: 1. Select the node. 2. Right-click and choose Toggle Thumbnail, or press T. Note: To show thumbnails for all nodes, select all the nodes (CTRL+A), then press T. To set thumbnail preferences: 1. Choose File | Preferences (CTRL+;). 2. In the Schematic group, click General. The Schematic preferences appear. 3. If you always want to display thumbnails for a node type, enable the corresponding Always Display Thumbnails option. If you enable one of these options, you can no longer turn off the thumbnails for that type of node. 178

Set the width and height of the overview.

The units are percentage of viewport dimensions.

From the Location list, select the corner of the

viewport where you want to display the Schematic

Overview.
