Edit Operator Interface ❚❘❘ Edit Timeline Controls Use the Edit Timeline controls to define how to add segments to the timeline, remove clips, and customize the timeline view. Current Time indicator Ripple-Adjusts the start and end time of a range of clips on a track when the duration of one of the clips is altered. When Ripple is enabled, the overall length of the edit sequence either increases or decreases- ripples-when you add or remove segments in the timeline. Overwrite-Replaces frames already in a sequence by frames of a clip that is being edited. When Overwrite is enabled, the overall duration remains fixed and the current segments can be overwritten by new ones. Mark In-Adds a mark in point timeline. to the Edit Mark Out-Adds a mark out point timeline. to the Edit Import Footage-Adds video material to the Edit timeline. Note: The timeline does not contain audio tracks. Pick Operator-Adds operators from the workspace or your system to the Edit timeline. Delete-Removes segments and transitions from the Edit timeline. Cut-Inserts a cut transition at the current time (frame). Zoom In-Zooms in on the Edit timeline by a factor of two. Zoom Out-Zooms out of the Edit timeline by a factor of two. Frame In/Out-Resizes the sequence between the mark in and mark out points so it fits in the Edit timeline view. Frame All-Resizes the entire sequence so it fits in the Edit timeline view.
