2 Welcome to Combustion Note: This option is also available in the viewport context menu. Setting Vectorscope Preferences Use these preferences to adjust how the vectorscope displays a clip's color information. Histogram-Selects the size of the colored squares or cubes that make up the vectorscope histogram. You can display 8x8, 16x16, or 32x32 colored dots. Scope Bars-Sets the SMPTE bars for the 2D vectorscope to indicate 75% (NTSC safe) or 100%. If the current project is NTSC, the bars are set to 75% by default. Setting Transparency Preferences Use these preferences to control how the transparent (or semi-transparent) portions of an image appear in the viewport when you use Transparent or Alpha Overlay view modes. To set transparency preferences: 1. In the Host category, click Transparency. The Transparency options appear. 2. Set the following options as required. Use To Pattern Size Set the size of the squares in the pattern. You can select Small, Medium, or Large. Pattern color boxes Set the colors of the alternating squares in the pattern. Click a square and use the Pick Color dialog that appears. See Using the Pick Color Dialog. Opacity field Set the Alpha Overlay color and opacity. See "Using View Modes" in Chapter 9, "Working with Image Channels''. 3. Click OK. Setting Footage General Preferences Use the Footage general preferences to control default footage settings. To set footage general preferences: Under the Footage category, click the General category. The General preferences appear. Pattern color boxes Pattern preview You can set the following options. 54
