Selecting Color Ranges for Color Correction ❚❘❘ When both Src and Dst are enabled, you see both the source and destination luma values in the histogram. Source clip luma values are displayed in black and result clip luma values are displayed in off-white. 3. Locate the setup file you want to import, and click Open. The parameters in the imported setup file are applied to the current Color Warper operator. Importing and Exporting Color Warper Setups After you modify a clip's color, you can export a Color Warper setup for the footage and import the setup into another Combustion workspace (for example, to key the same footage in another workspace). Exported setups are saved as ASCII files with a .cbs file extension. To export a Keyer setup: 1. Adjust your Color Warper settings to achieve the desired effect. 2. In the Setup controls, click Export. The Export Effect Operator Setup dialog appears. 3. Specify a location and name for the setup file, and click Save. To import a Keyer setup: 1. Apply a Color Warper operator to a clip. 2. In the Setup controls, click Import. The Import Effect Operator Setup dialog appears. Selecting Color Ranges for Color Correction With some images or clips, you may need to perform selective color correction-where you modify a range of color, as opposed to the entire clip or image. Selectives are generated mattes used to isolate color ranges for selective color correction. Use the Selective tools to create selectives. Using the Selective controls, you can: • Create and refine a matte using tolerance and softness to define the range you want to modify. • View a matte, a selected color range, or the result. • Enable mattes to apply the selective color correction to the result image. Disable mattes to remove the selective color correction from the result image. Hint: Switch to a two-viewport layout so that you can create your matte in one viewport while simultaneously monitoring the result in the other.
